Our Approach to SEND
SEND provision is at the heart of everything we do. Using the Assess, Plan, Do, Review (APDR) cycle, we ensure each learner receives the right support from the very beginning.
Our approach includes:
- Small group sizes and one-to-one support where needed
- Multi-sensory teaching methods and flexible delivery
- Visual timetables, scaffolding, and accessible learning strategies
- A “connection before correction” ethos, building positive relationships first

We believe progress happens when everyone is involved. By working closely with families, schools, commissioners, and professionals, we ensure strategies are consistent, transparent, and collaborative. This team-around-the-child approach helps learners feel secure and supported at every stage.
Partnership with SENDSAM
To strengthen our provision further, we work with SENDSAM (Support, Advocacy & Mediation), led by Sam Geehan, a consultant with nearly 30 years of experience in SEND and trauma-informed practice.
